Very easy company to work with from start to finish. I requested a quote on a Friday and on Monday evening Josh stopped by to take a look at our flower beds to provide an estimate. Within ten minutes of him leaving, I had an estimate to view and approve in my email inbox. Overall, very efficient, affordable, and professional.

Our Story From the firehouse
From the firehouse
to your lawn
At J and K Mowing and Lawn Services LLC, we built this company on the same values that guide us inside the firehouse: show up on time, do the job right, and never cut corners. That mindset shapes every mow, every project, and every interaction we have with our customers across Adams County, PA, Frederick County, MD, Carroll County, MD, Washington County, MD, and Franklin County, PA.
We started J and K because we saw a real need for a lawn and landscaping operation that homeowners and property managers could actually count on. No missed appointments. No half-finished work. Just reliable service that treats your property the way we'd want ours treated.
Our services cover the full range of what your lawn and land need throughout the year. We handle weekly mowing, fertilization and lawn care programs, aeration and overseeding, brush clearing, and skid loader work for bigger jobs that need serious equipment. We also design and install hardscaping and take on landscaping projects that improve both the look and function of your outdoor space.
What sets us apart is simple: we bring professional-grade equipment and take pride in clean results. Whether we're maintaining a residential lawn in Gettysburg or clearing an overgrown property line in Hagerstown, we approach every job with the same standard of care.
We serve customers Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 6 PM, so we're available when you need us. If you have a question or want to talk through a project, you can reach us by phone at (240) 446-0994 or by email at jwalter@jandkmowingllc.com.

How We Work
What you can count on
Reliable Show-Up
We run on the same schedule every visit so your lawn stays on track. No missed appointments, no last-minute cancellations.
Honest Communication
Before we start any job, we walk the property with you and explain exactly what we plan to do. You hear from us, not silence.
Clean Job Sites
Every visit ends with clippings blown off hard surfaces and debris removed from the work area. We leave your property the way you expect it.
Trained Equipment Operators
Our skid loader and mowing work is done by hands-on operators, not day-labor hires. Proper technique protects your turf, beds, and hardscape edges.
Soil-First Lawn Care
Fertilization and aeration programs are matched to your soil condition and grass type, not a one-size schedule. Healthier soil means fewer problems season to season.
Multi-County Coverage
We serve properties across Adams and Franklin counties in PA and Frederick, Carroll, and Washington counties in MD. Consistent standards across every county we work in.
